This elegant vintage classic blue Wedgwood Jasperware cameo ring features a mythological depiction of a goddess and a stag in a lovely sterling silver setting. Given the figure’s attire and posture, it is most likely Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt (known as Diana in Roman mythology). She is frequently shown with a stag (or deer), a bow and arrows, and sometimes a hunting dog. The stag represents her role as the protector of wild animals and as the goddess of wilderness and the hunt. The stag is also linked to her symbolism of purity and her association with the moon.

In 1804, Josiah Wedgwood began creating the iconic Jasperware. With intricate neo-classical motifs on a traditional Wedgwood bisque porcelain background, this is the ultimate adornment for a chatelain or chatelaine!

Sourced in France and curated by Paris-based Vivienne Birt for Chateau Love, this ring embodies the timeless sophistication and meticulous artistry that defines our carefully selected chateau-worthy collection of luxurious antique and vintage jewelry.
