This exceptionally crafted antique gilt metal French brooch from around 1900 is the perfect adornment for a Lord or Lady. Featuring an elegant black circle of enamelled roses in the style of Napoleon III surrounding a repoussé floral central panel, this piece would be equally handsome on a man or woman. Signed on the back “Fabon FSE, Paris 725”. 725 is an indication of the quality of the gold plating, and “Depose” means “handmade” in antique French jewelry pieces. Beautiful patina.
