Marie Antoinette was the last queen of France prior to the French Revolution. She is often depicted with a rose, as it was the symbol of her Austrian Hapsburg family.

Red roses symbolized passionate love, while pink roses conveyed grace and admiration. White roses were associated with purity and innocence, and yellow roses represented friendship and joy.
