This stunning vintage (probably German Art Deco) brooch features the ancient Greek faces of Comedy & Tragedy, symbols of Drama and The Theatre. These masks represent the extremes of the human psyche, and the discrepancies between real and fictitious identities.

Made of Argentium (935 silver, a very pure form of silver used primarily in Germany, Switzerland and Austria between 1920 and 1940 and much less prone to tarnishing), this is the perfect adornment for the dramatic, intellectual, and dashing man or woman.

Safety clasp.
