Sparkle and shine with the glow of the garden. This splendid French brooch from the 1950s has delightful details. Austrian crystals in shades of amber, taupe, and aurora-borealis grace the petals of each leaf and flower in joyous bouquet. The setting is of heavy gold-plating showing hardly any signs of age or wear.
Safety-clasp.
In 1956, French fashion designer Christian Dior collaborated with Daniel Swarovski's grandson, Manfred, to introduce the Aurora Borealis: an iridescent coating applied to crystal rhinestones that produced a rainbow effect. For around 10 years, these pieces became the height of fashion and are now extremely desirable.
Sourced in France and curated by Paris-based Vivienne Birt for Chateau Love, this brooch embodies the timeless sophistication and meticulous artistry that defines our carefully selected chateau-worthy collection of luxurious antique and vintage jewelry.
