This magnificent antique etching from the early 1800s depicts a symbolic angel representing a unique mystical sentiment within a highly stylized framework by the renowned French artist, Claudius Jacquand. It is an exquisite example of the Romantic style combined with First Empire elements, combining contemplative expression with strong architectural structure.

This etching is one of a series of nine equally beautiful images. The only known original examples are in the collection of Vivienne and Simon Birt at the Château de La Croix Boisée in France. Here we offer you a faithful, high-quality reproduction of this and the other eight etchings of the series in many sizes to be hung individually or as a gallery wall, only available on the Chateau Love website.
