This is a large glowing handmade enamel brooch of two lovers in typical Edwardian summer clothes, though their outfits could be mistaken for something more matrimonial. They are dancing in a bucolic setting of trees, blue sky and fields against a deep burgundy background. The piece was created and signed by the Limoges, France enamellist “Arnaud”. The setting is a unique rope design typical of the era in pinchbeck with a lovely patina.
It is signed on the back.
Truly one of a kind.
Trombone clasp.
