This large, gleaming brooch from the early 1900s sings of lazy golden fields in the French countryside. The heavy gold-plating of this lovely piece shows almost no signs of wear. Historically sunflowers have been a symbol of joy and positivity, symbolizing strength, good fortune, admiration, hope and optimism. They were a frequent feature of Art Nouveau illustrations and designs.
